THE DREADED TOILET DOOR HANDLE
Background: Feared far and wide, no one likes touching the toilet door handle of a public bathroom.
Task: Make people want to touch the door handle of a public toilet at a train station.
Insight: People love gamifying things - especially when it means the chance to win a prize.
Idea: Give people the chance to win various prizes, based on how well/hard they grip the handle (just like the high striker in a theme park)
Execution: See below
Insight: People love the chance to be a part of something exclusive.
Idea: Make the handle an opportunity that's simply too good to pass up.
Execution: Swap the door handle for the Olympic torch.
Insight: People enjoy the fulfilling feeling that comes with helping others out, being helpful and feeling needed.
Idea: Generate that feeling in people when they open the door for someone who can't.
Execution: Have small children positioned by the door, jumping and struggling to reach the handle which is out their reach. People will feel compelled to help the child out, and end up grabbing the handle.
